Week 12--Digging into Julius Caesar.

This is the last week before grades are due in for the 2nd round of Progress Reports.  I hope you've been working hard!  Many students have and have greatly improved their grades already.  If you're still in the red, you know you have to work hard on your Parallel Reading Project, you Julius Caesar notes, and be ready for your midunit benchmark and your Midterm Exam.  The Midterm will be 75% from this current unit and 25% cumulitive.  Yes, vocabulary from units 1-6 may be on the test.  Speaking of, don't forget your vocabulary Unit 4 mini quiz on Monday, and your workbook is due on Wednesday; yes, I'm checking for accuracy!

During class last week we started reading Julius Caesar using our accompanying packet.  Most classes finished reading through Act I Scene ii line 90.  If your class didn't (7th period), or if you were out, you need to use the online textbook and make sure you catch up over the weekend.  Remember, all links are on the Current Resources Page tabbed at the top of this page.

As a head's up, I've told each class that while their first Parallel Reading Deadline (get your book) is Friday, Nov 2, I'm going to start putting Zs in the gradebook on Monday for those students who don't have books.  This is not perminant, just encouragement for students to get their books sooner rather than later.  I won't count off points of students who show me their physical book before Friday, however, 10 points per day after that applies.
