Week 1

Hello all,

This week is a busy week.

The activities for the week are: 

• activators 1-4 (daily work)
• reading reflections 2-4 (daily work)
• discuss the syllabus (handout)
• an in-class quickwrite and our first grade of the semester (in class only)
• figure out our learning styles (handout)
• write a letter to ourselves for the end of the semester (instructions)
• introduced some poetry (powerpoint, instuctions)
• take a pretest (in class only)

Homework for the week is to bring the syllabus signed, bring $10 for vocabulary book, bring something to read every day, finish your letter if you didn't finish it in class (final draft in pen), and be prepared for the Summer Reading Essay on Tuesday!
